Priyanka learing Sikh
martial arts for ‘Drona’

Priyanka Chopra is at it again! She
surprised us all with her martial arts skill in the film ‘Don’, now
she will be seen doing ‘gatka’, a Sikh martial art!
The former Miss World is playing a bodyguard and wields the sword to
combat enemies in her next film ‘Drona’ directed by Goldie Behl, in
which Abhishek Bachchan is playing superhero. Kay Kay Menon plays
the villain.
She had trained in martial arts for her role in ‘Don’. Now Priyanka
is learning to wield a kirpan for ‘Drona’. “As part of my training
program, I had to fight an entire group of people using a sword,”
she said. She insists on doing most of her stunts herself and in the
film she has lot of complex movements using Kirpan.
“It’s an unconventional role that your average Hindi film heroine
doesn’t get to do,” she said in an interview.
Priyanka seems to be the first choice for roles that require action.
And also in super hero projects, remember ‘Krrish’? She has actually
no competition in that department! |
