Priyanka to appear before
court
Indore court has ordered Priyanka
Chopra and her father Ashok Chopra to appear before it on March 1st,
regarding a case filed by her former secretary Prakash Jajoo. The
orders were issued following an application moved by the Chopras’
counsel seeking a month for them to appear in the court for bail in
response to summons issued by a court in Mhow town.
In his complaint, Jajoo has alleged that gangster Chota Shakeel had
threatened him over the phone on behalf of the Chopras for settling
a financial dispute between Priyanka and him for a sum of Rs 1.37
crores. The case was filed under section 506 of the IPC, in which
the punishment will be for criminal intimidation.
Jajoo filed the case in the Mhow court but on Priyanka’s request, it
was transferred to Indore. Citing security risks that might arise if
she appears there the case was transferred to Indore. He claimed
Priyanka owed him the money as part of the services he rendered
while he was her secretary. |
